Media Center

MISSION STATEMENT

Our Troy Elementary School's Library Media Center exists to provide a welcoming place for students and teachers to have equitable access to books and materials, to motivate and encourage students to read and foster a love of learning, and to become effective users of information and technology.

BOOK CHECK OUT POLICIES

Students in 1st grade may check out one book at the time during the first semester. It will be at each teacher's discretion on whether students continue checking out one book or two books during the second semester. Books may be checked out by first graders for two weeks at the time. A book will be classified as "overdue" after two weeks of no return and will need to be taken care of before checking out additional books.

Students in grades 2-6 may check out two books at a time for two weeks at the time.  You may renew books as long as another patron is not waiting to read those books. A book will be classified as "overdue" after two weeks of no return and will need to be taken care of before checking out additional books.

Accidents happen! If a student loses a book or the book is damaged while checked out to him or her, that student and guardian will be responsible for the fees assigned by the school and library at that time.

ASSISTANCE FORM

If you have any needs from the media center, please complete the Form in the provided link. Bookmark this in your Google account so you can easily access it when needed. This Form must be completed before any requests can be provided. Mr. Oshaskey Flowers, also known as Mr. O., our new Library Media Specialist Assistant, will have access to these requests as I will often not be in the media center.
